Advertiser BEWARE!

There are a lot of ways in which we can falsely advertise. With Marketing gimmicks these days which stretch the limit we have to remember that when advertising a property the words chosen must be true and correct.

The Article recently in the Toronto star explains a situation where a property was sold under the impression that the house had been gutted to its bare bones and then re-built when in actual fact it was not. After a flood that took place all of this came to light.

The seller was taken to court and had to pay damages. It is vital that all information advertised is 100% accurate. If you are not 100% certain (the seller in the article had not seen the work completed) do not advertise for it. This rule also applies to Owners and Property Managers alike. Otherwise tenants can ask for compensation.
